Padma-of-Top-Chef

Magical Elves, the Emmy Award winning production company is the force behind such popular reality television shows as Top Chef, America’s Next Great Restaurant, Project Runway and feature films including Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.  When they needed help with the redesign of their website, they turned to Tuesday Creative. For design inspiration, we used their striking Los Angeles office space mixing whites, purples and their trademark logo.  Launched as the Justin Bieber: Never Say Never DVD hit the shelves, the site provides company background and even gives potential reality stars a chance to audition to be on one of their hit shows.  Get your headshot touched up, visit the site and you may be the next big thing!

iPad

It’s a plane, it’s a hot air balloon, no wait it’s just Angry Birds flying around on the iPad!  With over 250,000 apps available in the iTunes App Store, I wanted to know not just what people downloaded, but what they were using and playing.  I asked just about every person that I encountered that has an iPad to see what they were actually doing with their iPad and what apps they couldn’t live without.  Here are just a few of the favorites…

cableshow

Last month the 2010 Cable Show took center stage at the LA Convention Center giving top executives from cable operators, content producers, distribution networks and technology companies a chance to get together and explore the continually evolving industry. Of course a bevy of cable celebrities were also there to provide entertainment including The Kardashian’s, Omorosa, Hulk Hogan and many more. You should have seen the lines for pictures!

Scott Seward, our President, and I attended to support our partners and keep tabs on the latest developments in the cable industry. One particularly hot topic this year was EBIF, the industry supported Enhanced Binary Interchange Format being integrated into Comcast’s Xfinity Remote and other devices.  There was also a lively general session that brought together CEOs of from top cable, tech and entertainment companies for a discussion on evolving business models.  The panel emphasized the importance of ensuring that technology not be a barrier to content creators.   If you missed the show, don’t fret:  many of the individual sessions are recapped on the Cable Show Blog.

paradox

We teamed up with Paradox Entertainment to create a brand new website!  Paradox is known for the many popular franchises that they license, such as Conan the Barbarian, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Kull, and Buck Rogers.  The site keeps visitors updated on the Paradox’s various films in the works and gives licensees the ability to download high-res assets.  Check back to the site frequently to keep an eye on the new Conan movie which is now shooting in Bulgaria – oh yeah!

ivillage_share_bar

Harnessing the power of social networking is a critical component to online marketing strategies.  Quite simply, people like to share things they are passionate about with all their Facebook friends and Twitter followers.  When iVillage.com wanted to boost visibility of the health section of their new website, we developed a sharing tool that allows visitors to quickly share iVillage content on their Facebook and Twitter pages.  Even more, we created a reporting system so iVillage can tell who is coming to their site as a result of a shared link!  It’s a great, low impact method to grow their audience and leverage the massive social network user base.

A beautiful self-initiated series of posters for popular TV shows by designer Albert Exergian. Described as a “A HUMOROUS VIEW ON TV CULTURE”, these posters are less humorous and more just stunning in their simplistic, boiled down view of each show. If you think that they would make great posters, you are in luck! They are now for sale over at Blanka.
